New games are dropping left and right, there's a spicy update on those free shirts from last week, and the Egg Hunt drama is... not going away anytime soon. Buckle up, let's get into it! The Great Eggspress: Egg Hunt or Money Hunt?
The news about the original team behind the beloved 2018 Egg Hunt Great Yolktales making a brand new Egg Hunt game had everyone buzzing with excitement. That excitement has cooled off pretty fast.
Egg Hunt 2026, developed by Fifteam, is now set to release in July 2026, which is well outside the holiday season it's supposed to celebrate. That timing alone raised some eyebrows. But what really got the community talking is the $30 price tag.
Here is where it stings: the team has already raised over $100K on Kickstarter, AND they have scrapped the free UGCs they originally promised. Free UGCs are basically community currency on Roblox, and walking that back while charging $30 upfront is a tough look. Games cost money to make, absolutely, but there has to be some give on the player side, too. Those promised UGCs would have gone a long way toward softening the blow.
To be fair, the game itself looks promising. Unique mechanics, a team with real history-making Roblox Egg Hunts, and clear ambition behind it. But is it worth the price? That is the question the community is still trying to answer. What do you think about this? Join our Discord and let us know!
Update: Free Shirts Are Still Here (For Now)
Remember last week's story about free 2D items being wiped from the Marketplace on March 20? Good news: Roblox listened to the community pushback and extended the deadline. Previously published 2D items will stay on sale without requiring a Premium 1000 or 2200 subscription all the way until July 31, 2026. Delisting begins August 1st. So if you missed your window to grab those free shirts before today, you now have a few more months to sort it out. Go do your shopping before summer ends!
New Roblox Avatar Item for Big Spenders
Roblox has uploaded the Lord of Buxeration Head Accessory as part of their Federation Crown series. These are some of the most exclusive items on the platform, unlocked only after massive Robux purchases and available in limited quantities. If the idea of owning one is tempting, just know you are looking at a minimum of 50,000 Robux on the cheaper end. We will be sticking to our regular crowns and saving Robux, thanks!
New Game Watch: Cursed Gear
After a few delays, the highly anticipated Cursed Gear is finally launching this weekend. Inspired by both the NieR and Jujutsu Kaisen universes, this ambitious RPG blends fast-paced combat with deep progression systems, mixing traditional action gameplay with extraction-style mechanics. We are talking nine Gears, over 40 Clans, and multiple interconnected systems built around skill and strategy. It sounds like a lot, and it is, but in the best way. We think it will deliver.
