Hey Problox fans!
This week, Roblox flipped the switch on its biggest account overhaul in years, a brand new shooter made people question what Roblox graphics are even capable of, and developers are sounding the alarm about a nasty new kind of hack. As if that’s not enough, we also have a stacked weekend of updates and one massive launch to keep an eye on. Also, don’t forget to check out our other Problox newsletters - here is what you missed.

This week, Roblox rolled out Roblox Kids (ages 5 to 8) and Roblox Select (ages 9 to 15) account types worldwide, alongside standard 16+ accounts. Here is what actually changed:
No age check means Kids by default. Chat stays off until a linked parent turns it on.
You can only chat with people in nearby age groups, a setup designed to keep under-16 players away from adults.
Game access is tied to ratings: Kids get Minimal and Mild, Select adds Moderate, and Restricted stays locked behind a verified 16+.
Creators have a hard time reaching under-16 players: an age check, ID verification, 2FA, a Roblox Plus subscription or a refundable 1,000 Robux fee, a per-game review, and a debated 500-highly-engaged-players threshold.
The reaction has been loud and divided. Younger players are frustrated about losing easy chat, and a "give chat back" sentiment is spreading across socials, while privacy-minded users are uneasy about the face scans, with some turning to VPNs or resold verified accounts to dodge them. Smaller developers say the 500-player rule is locking their games out of under-16 audiences. On the other side, child-safety advocates and many parents call the overhaul overdue after a wave of lawsuits, and Roblox is framing it as a new bar for safety while promising to relax that player threshold soon. Will it work? You tell us!

TTK Testing went off this week. The tactical shooter, inspired by Ready or Not and layered with bodycam-style visual effects, pulled in over 5 million visits so far. It’s the work of just two developers, PoptartNoahh and CanyonJack, building it in their spare time, and it is still an early free-for-all test build with co-op PvE, squad AI, and mission-based modes all planned. TTK is a great showcase of what Roblox can actually render in 2026, and it’s honestly stunning. The devs have already teased their biggest update yet for this weekend.
Hackers Are Stealing Entire Roblox Games Now

Rather than "beaming" individual players for rare items, organized attackers are now targeting developer accounts to seize entire games, transfer ownership, and drain Robux within hours.
One family said the five-year project they built, with more than 12,000 members, was taken after a fake job offer tricked one of the developers into running a malware file. In several cases, devs said Roblox support only stepped in after the reporter contacted the company. The takeaway for anyone who builds: never run files from strangers, lock down your 2FA, and treat surprise "job offers" as a red flag.
Did You Know: You Can Now Send a Lot More Robux to Friends

A quieter change worth flagging: players with 2-Step Verification enabled can now send up to 10,000 Robux a month to other users, a big jump from the old 1,000 cap. Transfers between users aged 16 and older also no longer need parental approval in most regions. It is a solid quality-of-life win, and a timely reminder that switching on 2FA unlocks perks while keeping your account locked down, which matters more than ever after this week's hacking news.
Top 11 Weekend Updates To Play

One to watch: Dokkodo, the samurai action RPG inspired by Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro, and the Vagabond manga, fully releases this Sunday, June 21, across all platforms. After a long wait, this could be one of the weekend's biggest launches, so keep an eye on how it performs at the gate.
