Roblox Plus Creator Showdown Is Heading to Las Vegas on April 24

Roblox has announced the second edition of the Creator Showdown, and it's going to Las Vegas. The official teaser dropped on Roblox's X account this week with a cinematic video of a neon desert skyline, a golden crown descending in a burst of colored smoke, and a glowing "Welcome Creator Showdown" sign styled after the iconic Vegas landmark. The message was simple: "Tension builds. Legends rise. Creator Showdown is back on April 24."

The first Creator Showdown took place in December 2025 in Los Angeles, where eight creators competed in teams across five Roblox games for a $50,000 prize pool. Full details for the Las Vegas edition — creators, games, prize pool, and in-experience rewards — haven't been announced yet, but the event streams live on April 24 via Roblox's official YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok channels. Keep an eye on those for updates as we get closer.

Roblox Assistant AI Will Create Games?

AI is here to stay, whether you like it or not. Roblox Assistant can now plan, build, and test games through a new Planning Mode, drop textured 3D objects into your world via text prompts, and run an automated playtesting agent that catches bugs and feeds fixes back into the loop.

Community reactions are split. Some creators are already picturing AI completing overnight tasks while they sleep. Others are worried it will flood the platform with generic content and quietly devalue the skills developers spent years building. A debate worth watching closely.

What’s My Age Again? Roblox Is Splitting Users Into Age Tiers

In what is being called the biggest safety overhaul in Roblox's history, the platform is introducing age-based account tiers, rolling out globally in early June 2026:

• Roblox Kids (ages 5-8): Chat disabled by default; access limited to Minimal- and Mild-rated games; a distinct background color in the app so parents know their child is in the right place.

• Roblox Select (ages 9-15): Access to games rated up to Moderate, age-group chat enabled, parents can approve specific games outside default restrictions on a case-by-case basis.

• Standard account (16+): No changes. Restricted content unlocks at 18.
