Roblox Is Rebuilding Its Reporting System But Age Verification is Still Problematc
Roblox has introduced its February Safety Snapshot, highlighting a major redesign of its reporting process. The new flow uses simpler language, a conversational questionnaire to guide users through what went wrong, and a tap-to-identify feature that lets you highlight a specific avatar, object, or UI element within a screenshot so moderators know exactly what they're looking at. Chat penalties are also being expanded, so instead of a flat 30-minute timeout for minor violations, consequences will now range from five minutes to multiple days based on severity, with repeat offenders facing full bans. The rollout begins over the next few weeks with more changes promised throughout 2026.
Fan reactions on X and the developer forums are cautiously optimistic. Many players are calling the changes long overdue and appreciate the education-first approach for minor infractions. Skeptics, however, point out that no amount of UI polish fixes an understaffed moderation team. Let’s not forget that frustrations around age verification requirements continue to simmer in the background. The community is willing to give Roblox the benefit of the doubt, but the expectation is clear: these promises need to actually show results!
New Game Watch: Bizarre Lineage
Bizarre Lineage officially launches this weekend (February 28th), and it's one of the most hyped JoJo-inspired Roblox releases in years. Set in the iconic Morioh Cho, it's a free-to-play open-world RPG where you create your own JoJo character, complete quests, take on world bosses, and unlock Stands spanning Parts 3 through 8 of the manga. The build system is surprisingly deep — you can hold multiple Stands, mix and match their perks, and equip cosmetics that each carry both a buff and a debuff, meaning loadout decisions actually matter. There's also a Raid system tied to Yoshikage Kira for repeatable endgame content, and no pay-to-win — Stand skins are earnable through normal gameplay. If you love deep anime RPGs, this weekend is a great time to jump in.
