Who is your Valentine?

Roblox Announces Chat Fixes After Age-Check Uproar

Remember the chaos when age-check went global in January? Players couldn't chat with friends, roleplay communities went silent, and social games turned into ghost towns. Roblox published a major roadmap update outlining fixes to address the silent lobby issue.

This is significant for games that depend on player communication—think roleplay experiences and social hangouts that saw massive player drops after age segregation took effect. Instead of joining a server only to discover you can't coordinate with your teammates, you'll be placed with players you can actually communicate with.

Even better news: Trusted Connections for 13+ users launches within the next week. Once you're age-verified and over 13, you'll be able to chat with your trusted friends across age groups using both text and voice chat—solving one of the biggest complaints from the initial rollout. So if your friends were verified at different ages, you'll still be able to talk to them in-game. Parents of users under 13 will receive this feature in late March, subject to parental permission.

The roadmap also promises global chat by mid-2026 (enabling you to chat with players across different servers), preset messages in April (quick coordination options like "Need help" or "Defending this area" that work across all age groups), and more ways to add Trusted Connections beyond the current options.

David Baszucki addressed the changes, emphasizing that Roblox is trying to balance safety with keeping the platform social and fun. The community response has been cautiously optimistic—these updates don't solve everything, but they're a solid step toward restoring functional player communication. What are your thoughts? Roblox Valentine's Day Events Are Here!

Love is in the air—and across at least 13 major Roblox games! Valentine's events are dropping left and right, with exclusive pets, cosmetics, and limited-time activities running through late February.

Fisch kicked things off early on February 7 with the Sweetheart Shores location, new Valentine-themed fish for your bestiary, and Chocolate currency you can spend on exclusive rods like the Rose Rod. But the big news hits this Saturday, February 15, with the Scoria Reach expansion—a permanent volcanic island complete with lava zones, heat-resistant fish, and hidden locations. This isn't just another holiday event; it's a full map expansion with new NPCs, quests, and fishing mechanics. The Valentine's event itself runs through February 21.

Adopt Me launched its Crystal Heart Repair event, where players race against a three-minute timer to collect 14 scattered Hearts across Adoption Island. Each Heart you return earns 5 Bucks, and if your server works together quickly, you can rack up 300+ Bucks just from standing near the pulsing Crystal Heart after completion. The Rose Dragon pet is the star of the show, currently valued around Fairy Bat Dragon levels—though that'll drop as supply increases through February 20.

Dress to Impress went full romantic with a Paris-themed makeover featuring 18 weekly shop pieces, 14 free items, new hairstyles, preset makeup looks, and a florist minigame where you earn candy hearts currency. The Valentine's update was released on February 7 and runs for one week.

Blox Fruits joins the party on Friday, February 14, at 4 PM GMT (Valentine's Day) with Hearts currency earned by defeating enemies and bosses, a Valentine's Delivery NPC with unique quests, and—naturally—a giant fiery yeti boss, because nothing says romance like battling hellish creatures. The event runs through February 23.

Other games hosting Valentine's content include Evade (Feb 14-18), Restaurant Tycoon 3 (Feb 6-12), Metro Life City RP (through Feb 27), World // Zero (the longest runner, through March 16), and Squid Game X (Feb 14-28). If you're hunting seasonal items, prioritize the shortest events first—once they're gone, they're gone.

New Games Watch: Footbolt

Calling all Blue Lock fans—Footbolt officially launches on February 15, and it's bringing arcade-style soccer with a competitive twist straight out of the anime.

Forget traditional sports games. Footbolt draws inspiration from Blue Lock's intense, ego-driven philosophy and translates it into breathtaking cinematics and over-the-top abilities such as Direct Shot and Black Hole Trap. This isn't your typical soccer sim—it's about dominating the field with unique skills and aggressive playstyles that reward individual excellence.

The game has been teasing content on its Discord and the @Dunkyball YouTube channel, building significant hype in the Blue Lock Roblox community. While codes aren't available yet (the game's still in pre-launch), expect them to drop fast once February 15 hits. If you're looking for something fresh that blends sports, anime aesthetics, and competitive gameplay, Footbolt is absolutely worth checking out this weekend.
