Over 4 Million Players Want to Get a Pet in 99 Nights in the Forest - The Taming Update
The Taming Update for 99 Nights in the Forest is introducing a major new way to approach survival: animal companionship. Players can now tame different forest creatures, like wolves and possibly bears, to serve as pets that offer protection and help during scavenging runs. This addition alters the core gameplay, making it less of a solitary fight against the game's nighttime entities and hostile cultists.
This update includes all the mechanics necessary to successfully find, tame, and manage these new allies. The introduction of pets has also sparked player discussions about a powerful new Summoner class, which may arrive later to specialize in commanding a full pack of creatures. If you're ready to bring a companion on your next run, the Taming Update is live and ready for you to explore.
