Roblox Classic Event Date and Games List
If your feed has been buzzing about a mystery Roblox event, you are not imagining it. Roblox recently posted a cryptic video with the line "time is everywhere but nowhere," and the community has already done the detective work: whatever they're teasing points to September 17, 2026. The best guess right now is an announcement that day, and plenty of us hope it means one specific thing.
That thing is The Classic. If you missed it back in 2024, The Classic was a throwback celebration built around old-school Roblox, with a central hub, a lineup of participating games, quests to complete, and limited event UGC to chase down. With the platform already leaning into a Classic theme for its 20th anniversary, a full sequel would fit the moment perfectly.
It is not just wishful thinking, either. Trusted leak accounts like RBXEventHunters have started circulating possible game lists, and their track record on this kind of thing is usually strong. The reaction has been a mix of excitement and a little side-eye, mostly because some of the rumored games (a certain record-breaking obby, plus Grow a Garden) do not exactly scream "classic." That may point to a looser definition this time around: less about age, more about which games have genuinely shaped the platform.
We have gone a long stretch without a proper platform-wide event, so even the possibility is enough to get excited about. Nothing is confirmed until Roblox says so, but mark the 17th and keep an eye out.
RDC 2026 Is Happening Right Now, and It Decides What Your Favorite Games Look Like Next
The Roblox Developers Conference is running September 10 to 12 in San Jose, with the big keynotes streaming today. Roblox has been pushing systems that turn a text prompt into a fully interactive, scriptable object rather than a static model, and a live "Building 3D Worlds with AI" demo is on this year's schedule. For players, that is the difference between waiting months for an update and creators shipping new maps, items, and mechanics far faster.
There is also the community-facing side. Roblox Moments, the short-form clip feed, has been expanding, and discovery changes decided here shape which games actually reach your home screen. The conference wraps Saturday with the Innovation Awards, which double as a 20th-anniversary celebration and a spotlight on the creators behind the games so many of us log in for.
